LABOR DAY, SCHMABOR DAY...

Ok, I get that labor day is supposed to signify the end of Summer and give us all a little rest before getting on with our week. But, please, why put it on a Monday? All that does is give you a little taste of freedom before you have to go right back to the "Daily Grind". Huh huh, get it? Anyways, bad joke.

I worked half a day yesterday (so called Labor Day) and then went home. Yes, it was nice to get off early and be able to go home and get some things done in the house. The problem is that it messed my whole sense of, what day of the week it is, up. My body woke up today thinking, "Yeah, it's Saturday, now I get to sleep in (a little) and relax all day." Nope, sorry, my brain alerts me that it was all a cruel twist of fate and today is actually another work day. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, noooooooooooo!"

Ok, ok, so I am a drama queen, sue me. But really, what purpose does it serve for us to have Labor Day on a Monday? It should be on a Friday to give us a long weekend, then you would really feel like you have had a good rest from work.

Oh, well, such is life. As they say, "If you can't beat the crazies, join em." Ok, so nobody really says that, but hey, I can say it if I want to. Yes, I can. Don't argue with me. Oh, that was actually the voices in my head and not a real person. Too bad, sometimes they have a lot of cool arguments with me when no one is around. Loony bin? Who says I am crazy? Ok, maybe a couple of psychiatrists think so, but what do they know? They only went to school for many years and got degrees. Quacks!

Anyways, have a great day, don't let the voices in your head tell you what to do, and smile, it could always be worse than what it really is in your life.

Quote of the Day: "Hey, where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?"
