We are leaving Friday for a quick jaunt to the beach. Yes, I said jaunt. We will be going down Friday and returning Sunday! I am as excited as if I am spending a whole week or longer. Just the chance to get away from it all for a couple of days makes me happy.
Ok, it doesn't make me as happy as say a mocha from Starbucks, but I am pretty happy none the less. I just had a wonderful idea... drinking a mocha from the aforementioned Starbucks while driving to and from the beach!!! Brilliant!!!
Anyways, I don't know how I am going to make it through the next few days, but I will just grin and bear it, or is that saying grin at a bear and he will bear it, or bare a grin and a bear will get you? I don't know. Sleep deprivation is getting to me. I am starting to make less sense than I did before, and that ain't saying much.
Have you heard that gas may continue to drop in price over the next 2 years? Yes, there was an article that said that it may be down to $1.50 a gallon within a year or so. Wooohooo... now we can all afford to eat again. Yayyyyyy!!!
Last thing I want to mention... one of the things that has burned me up for a long time, but I have had nowhere to voice my opinions on it...
PEOPLE WHO SMOKE AROUND THEIR CHILDREN!!!
You people, and you know who you are, are not only idiots, you are also the most selfish human beings in the world. Your children are required to be around you day in and day out. This does not make it ok for you to hoist your child onto your hip and smoke like a chimney right in their little faces. These children are at a big risk of getting cancer from your second hand smoke and you just don't care. It is fine with me if you give yourself a life threatening disease, you smell bad, and everyone who isn't a smoker shies away from you, but putting your children through that is inexcusable. I don't know how many times I have been out at a restaurant and seen parents haul their kids outside to watch while they smoke. Have a little decency and at least let the kid have a chance, by not forcing them to breathe in all of those toxic fumes. You don't deserve to have children if you behave so stupidly in front of them. You are required to have a license for driving, fishing, and hunting, but any moron can have children. It's sad, and it isn't fair to these children. Grow up a little bit for your kids and take a lot more care with their lives. Please.
