Deadlines & Other Fun Things...

Anyone else hate deadlines? They loom over us like a black cloud and no matter how hard you try they don't disappear with wishing them gone. Every week I know I have the same deadlines on me, yet every week I still put off doing what I know needs to be done.

I guess that I am hoping that one week I will come into work and find that, like magic, my deadlines have disappeared. They have all been gobbled up by the work fairy. Unfortunately, the work fairy seems to have taken a vacation from looking after me. I guess she has too much to do in the white house to fool with my tiny little deadline problems. Oh well, I guess the deadlines are here to stay and I am just hanging on to the coattails of Tuesday, flying straight into Wednesday and hoping for Saturday.

It's kind of funny how we wish our lives away sometimes. It's like how you go outside sometimes and you are wishing the weather was different... "Man it's hot, I wish fall would get here." Or "I am freezing, is summer ever going to arrive?"

We wish our lives away and then we wonder where all the time has gone. Maybe one day there will be a little bottle that we can store our wished away days in. Then we can go back when we are old and gray and pull those days out and relive them. Ok, so maybe that is a little far fetched, but hey at one time TVs, the internet, and flying machines were far-fetched as well.

IDIOTIC DRIVERS

This morning, on my way to work, I was almost in an accident because of one of these so-called "drivers". It seems that people just do not care anymore if they get into an accident. If they did you would think that they would pay just a little bit more attention to the road.

Hmmm... if a car is driving through a green light and you are turning left into their lane, should you
A. Go ahead and turn, they are only going 55 miles an hour, how bad could it hurt?
B. Step on the gas and get the heck out of there?
C. Wait for them to turn, obeying the obvious traffic laws, and then make your left turn?

Well, I guess we all know what this "driver" did. They not only turned in front of me almost causing an accident, they slowed down enough that it would have been really bad, had I not swerved to the left and stomped my brake as hard as I could.

Ok, people, this is the question of the day, car vs. car, who wins? Obvious answer... the idiot almost always walks away unscathed.

"What happened? I can't believe I was in an accident."
